What happens when a bunch of bored shelter pets decide to form a band? In the world of TV animation, they form The Skruffy Group and play the greatest songs of the 20th Century. These are hot dogs - and cool cats - and rockin' birds - and they perform music videos like never seen before.
These shelter pets my be 'throw backs', so they go back to the cool times of the 1950's, 1960's, and 1970's and sing some of the iconic songs of the era - as only The Skruffy Group can.
The animated TV music series is being created and produced by the TVS Television Network's First Look Original TV production unit. It is the first animated TV series from TVS in it's 62 year history, although the TVS BlooperToons series in the early 1990's had significant animated segments.
TVS has produced thousands of TV shows for national distribution since 1960. Sports, music, entertainment, and public affairs have all been a part of the TVS production output.
The Skruffy Group gets it's music soundtrack from Capehart Music Treasury, the 2,000 song catalog of originally produced music of the top songs of the 20th Century done in an easy listening format. These songs can currently be heard on Spotify, Pandora, Amazon, You Tube, Rhapsody, Apple Music, Google Podcasts, iHeart Music, and on the Skruffy Group Channel of the TVS Radio Network.Com.
The Skruffy Group animated TV series will appear on various TVS broadcast, cable, OTT, Mobile, OOH, FAST, SVOD, and home video platforms when the show debuts in September.
