TVS Television Network Was First (and still is) a Basketball TV Pioneer
TVS actually started in 1958 when Northwesern University college student Eddie Einhorn saw that there was no radio network for the tournament, which was being held locally. He got permission from the NCAA and built the radio network that started it all. In 1960, after graduating from Northwestern, he went home to New Jersey and began TVS Television Network to produce college basketball on broadcast TV.
When the ABA expanded pro basketball's horizons, TVS was there. When TVS was revived in the 1990's, basketball was again a cornerstone. This time it was the NABL, a USA based 'feeder league' for FIBA teams around the world. The NABL, through exposure from TVS, has located NABL pleyers in more than 50 countries.
Today, the NABL and TVS are embarking on the development of the newest Olympic sport, 3 on 3 basketball. World class players with intelligence and character who will honorably represent America on FIBA teams around the world.
