TVS Tavern TV Network, celebrating 30 years of telecasting, has gone old school by bringing back seminal TV sports shows Championship Bowling and Roller Derby on the 24/7 streaming FAST channel from the TVS Television Network. Championship Bowling was the pioneer bowling show that was seen in many a tavern in the early 1950's as well as Roller Derby, an early TV sports staple.
In the early days of broadcast television, sports like boxing, wrestling, roller derby, and bowling were seen nightly on TV. Since TV sets were so expensive, the sports fans of the times would often visit his nearby tavern to watch the events. Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer would sponsor the Wednesday Night Fights,Dutch Masters Cigars would sponsor the Saturday Night Fights, and Blatz Beer would bring you the Roller Derby and Wrestling.
