In 1976, the TVS Television Network founded the IWA Wrestling organization in order to create the first national treatment of pro wrestling via syndicated television. At the time, wrestling organizations like WWWF, AWA, and Hollywood Wrestling were strictly regional companies.
IWA/TVS then gathered the top wrestlers, such as Ernie Ladd, Mil Mascaras, Cowboy Bob Ellis, The Somoans, Gino Brito and Dino Bravo, and others to create a TV spectacular.
Part of the story line was the feud between Bulldog Brower and The Mighty Igor, which highlighted several weeks of the show.
Today, that feud is relived on the TVS Tavern TV Network, which carries both the Classic IWA Wrestling and the new version, IWA Lucha Loco.
